Children under 41” in height will be admitted for free, but will not be allowed to climb the tower
Parking
Parking is in the lot across the street from the Lighthouse. There is an $8 fee charged by New York State between 8 am and 4 pm.
Cars with a visitor 65 and older with a New York state license can park for free in the state lot. Empire Pass holders are also able to park with no additional fees.
This does not include admission to the Lighthouse, which is wholly owned by the Montauk Historical Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Group Tours
Group and school tours (20 or more) to the lighthouse museum should be booked in advance. Please contact the museum office at 631-668-2544 to schedule.

No Pets allowed on Montauk Lighthouse Grounds and Museum. Only Service Animals are allowed.
A service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. Tasks performed can include, among other things, pulling a wheelchair, retrieving dropped items, alerting a person to a sound, or reminding a person to take medication.
