May 10 @ 7:00 pm

Free

Would you like to learn more about Montauk’s earliest residents? On May 10, Hugh King, East Hampton’s Village Historian, will share information about members of the Montaukett tribe like Wyandank Pharoah, Queen Maria Pharoah, Margarete Fowler, and so many more. Please reserve a seat below.

The photo above shows members of the Montaukett tribe in 1924. In the back row, from left to right, we see Charles Fowler, John Fowler, Pocahontas Pharaoh and Sam Pharaoh. Seated in the front row are Marguerite Fowler, George Fowler, and Maria Pharaoh (Banks). This image is held by the East Hampton Library’s Long Island Collection.
